Job Title – Principal / Associate Structural Engineer
Salary – £50,000 To £60,000 Dependant On Experience
Location – Cardiff
Due to strategic expansion our client has an immediate vacancy in their Cardiff office for an experienced Principal or Associate Structural Engineer with an ambition to oversee the technical delivery of a portfolio of projects allocated to them. The candidate will strive to ensure the quality and accuracy of the engineering is to the highest standard. Projects are spread throughout the UK but the majority of work is in South Wales and the West of England. The candidate will be able to run projects, manage clients, do a limited amount of marketing, and collaborate well with colleagues. They will be highly competent in the design of timber, steel, reinforced concrete and masonry structures within the renewable energy, rail, commercial, and social housing sectors.
The candidate will be desirable to have a working knowledge of the following software tools:
* AutoCAD
* Revit
* Tekla
* Microsoft Office software
Responsibilities
* Run projects and manage clients to ensure successful delivery.
* Oversee technical delivery and quality assurance across a portfolio of projects.
* Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to project teams.
* Engage in limited marketing activities as appropriate.
* Design timber, steel, reinforced concrete and masonry structures within the specified sectors.
* Take design responsibility for projects and progress them from concept through to completion.
Qualifications
* Must have a full UK driving license
* 5+ years of UK post graduate work experience
* Strong organizational, creative and presentation skills
* Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
