We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Solihull this September. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a well-resourced and inclusive setting, supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, helping them to thrive both academically and emotionally. The Role As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils across the classroom, providing tailored support that enables each child to reach their full potential. What you'll Be Doing Supporting students with a variety of SEN needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups Encouraging engagement, independence, and confidence in learning Assisting the class teacher with adapting lessons to meet individual needs Promoting positive behaviour and supporting emotional wellbeing Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils Working closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals What We're Looking For Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (school or care setting) A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations A genuine commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs Availability to start in September and commit to a long-term role
