Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced electrician with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or modern industrial environment. Candidates must be electrically qualified to 17th or 18th Editions Regulations, with hands-on knowledge of electrical, electronics, and PLC control systems. An electrical bias is preferred. The role involves supporting engineering standards across various shift patterns.

* Title: Shift Electrician / Maintenance Electrician / Multi-skilled Engineer
* Salary: £33,000 to £38,000 plus £3,000 shift allowance
* Shift Pattern: 3-week rotation (see detailed schedule above)
* Pension Scheme: 6%
* Location: Perth and Kinross
Responsibilities
* Minimize plant downtime through effective troubleshooting and repairs
* Perform corrective maintenance and routine inspections
* Implement continuous improvement initiatives and propose solutions
* Install, test, and maintain electrical systems in compliance with safety standards
* Document maintenance activities accurately
* Follow permit-to-work procedures for isolations
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety
* Support project work and collaborate with colleagues
Qualifications & Experience
* 17th or 18th Edition electrical qualification
* City & Guilds level or higher
* Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
* Ability to interpret electrical drawings and produce them
* Experience with electronics, PLC systems, and variable drive systems
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk assessments
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Proven experience in electrical maintenance within manufacturing
