Senior Youth Participation Officer
Salary: £36,712 - £40,791 pa pro rata
Contract: 6 month fixed term contract Jan-Jul 2026, part time 21 hrs per week
Location: Hybrid with 1 day per week at London Bridge

We have a great opportunity for a Senior Youth Participation Officer working for Young Minds, a charity committed to changing the narrative around youth mental health, raising awareness and understanding, and showing young people they are not alone.
This role leads a unique programme launching in 2026 that combines creative outdoor skills, green skills, horticulture, and participatory practice. You will champion youth voice, embed anti‑oppressive participation practices and collaborate with a specialist garden designer and horticultural partner.
Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery and evaluation of a hands‑on, creative, confidence‑building programme for young people aged 16‑25.
* Develop tools, training, guidance and resources for colleagues engaging young people.
* Work in partnership with a horticultural specialist and internal teams to ensure youth voices remain central to programme design and delivery.
* Champion youth voice and embed anti‑oppressive participation practices.
Qualifications
* Experience delivering training and development programmes that build adult skills to support youth voice.
* Experience working with fundraising and communications teams to plan and promote large‑scale events.
* Experience engaging effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders.
