About the role
Are you looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a Senior Commercial Manager, FX to join the John Lewis Money team. As a leader in our business, your primary focus will be to challenge and empower your teams and others to create more value for our customers and our business.
You will be responsible for developing, leading, and driving the New Business/In Life and overall commercial strategy to deliver the agreed performance; leading a cross-functional team of internal professionals and third-party suppliers. You will manage the product life cycle to deliver market-leading performance, identify development opportunities, and seek to maximize customer value and return. You will be the lead champion for your product, with responsibility to drive its ongoing success within the Partnership.
Salary and Contract Details
* Salary range: £60,400.00 - £90,700.00
* Contract type: Fixed-term contract for 12 months, ending in January 2027
* Working pattern/flexible working: The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, allowing a mix between office and home-based work, with around 1 day a week in the office and ad-hoc meetings.
Key responsibilities
* Managing a team and overseeing task management.
* Supporting Partners to deliver their role outcomes and their personal and professional development.
* Serving as the escalation point for Partners when needed.
* Setting clear intent, direction, and guardrails aligned with the Partnership strategy.
* Leveraging insights and networks to stay abreast of customer requirements, market conditions, and technological advancements.
* Continuously improving business processes, frameworks, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
* Developing and delivering the New Business and In Life strategy to maximize value, managing key metrics like LTV, sales, and income.
* Leading product development and managing the product roadmap.
* Managing key third-party commercial relationships.
* Contributing to the leadership and success of the Commercial/Product Management team.
* Ensuring performance improvement within budgets and compliance with policies and legal frameworks.
Essential skills and experience
* Significant experience in Financial Services Product Management, ideally in Retail Foreign Exchange or International Payments.
* Skilled in managing internal senior stakeholders and external suppliers.
* Experience working in a matrix environment.
* Ability to analyze trading, P&L data, and marketing KPIs to make informed recommendations.
* Strong commercial acumen.
