As our network grows, we’re looking for a skilled GIS Developer to help us turn mapping data into actionable insight that speeds up builds, improves decision-making, and keeps our rollout ahead of the game. WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON Developing and maintaining GIS tools, applications, and databases to support network planning and build tracking. Integrating data and build progress updates into clear, accurate maps and dashboards. Performing spatial analysis to optimise build routes, identify coverage gaps, and highlight expansion opportunities. Creating mobile and web mapping solutions for field engineers, planners, and project managers. Ensuring data accuracy, quality, and consistency across all GIS systems. Producing maps and data reports for regulators, local authorities, and public funding bids. Integrating GIS with other company systems such as CRM, project management, and asset tracking tools. WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE Experience in GIS development, ideally within telecoms, utilities, or infrastructure. Excellent skills in GIS software, our primary platform is IQGeo but familiarity in tools such as QGIS, ArcGIS, Smallworld also valuable. Coding and programming experience in Python and PostgreSQL with the PostGIS extension for spatial data processing and automation. Familiarity with FME for data integration and automation; knowledge of JavaScript for web-based GIS applications. A detail-focused approach to ensuring data accuracy and quality control. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical outputs into practical solutions for non-technical teams.
