Accounts Assistant – Xero – Remote (Part‑time)
Support finance operations on a temporary part‑time remote basis covering accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and process improvements.
* Process supplier invoices and credit notes within Xero
* Prepare and schedule weekly payment runs
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
* Maintain accurate AR aging reports
* Raise and issue customer invoices and follow up overdue invoices
* Complete weekly and monthly bank, credit card and payment gateway reconciliations
* Review existing AP, AR and reconciliation workflows and implement streamlined processes
* Prepare weekly and monthly summaries and assist with month‑end close tasks
Accounts Assistant – Law Firm (Birmingham)
Assist in daily bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, VAT returns and client invoicing in a law‑firm setting.
* Maintain ledgers for receipts and payments
* Prepare daily banking and funds transfers
* Post entries to ledgers and produce weekly reports
* Process cheque requests and client invoices
* Manage priority and BACS payments
* Support other accounts duties as needed
Accounts Assistant – Dealership (Porsche)
Support day‑to‑day accounts functions for a Porsche dealership covering sales and purchase ledgers, cash postings and bank reconciliations.
* Handle sales and purchase ledgers
* Perform daily cash postings
* Carry out bank reconciliations
* Assist management and other ad‑hoc duties
* Provide regular reporting and oversight
Essential Skills & Experience – All Roles
Proven experience in AP/AR and reconciliations. Proficient in Xero, law‑firm accounting software or dealership accounting systems. Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, ability to work independently remotely or on‑site. Clear communication and time‑management skills.
