We are looking for a talented Technical Designer to work with an award-winning creative design and manufacturing business in Newhaven where you will work as part of a small, passionate team who are proud to work with well-known brand names. As a designer with retail or event design experience you’ll translate design concepts into technical drawings and work internally / with clients to discuss materials required.
The Designer job includes:
* Using your creative flair to take concepts and create technical drawings for manufacturing
* Working on a variety of projects across retail and events, coming from a background of experience within this sector
* Creating technical drawings that are backed by an understanding of production methods and knowledge of relevant materials
* Working with project and production managers to discuss and understand clients’ needs
* Designing clear, concise technical drawings to be sent to CNC and other machinery, with clear production packs that show methods of manufacturing and use of materials
Skills & experience required:
* Strong experience in a similar role, gained from a relevant industry
* Excellent SketchUp, Vectric / VCarve and SolidWorks skills
* Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator
* Knowledge of manufacturing materials and processes
Salary, hours and Company benefits:
* £35,000 to £40,000 based on experience
* 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, fully office based in Newhaven
* 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
