Step into the role of Assistant Fabric Technologist (12 Month Fixed Term Contract) here at Joules Head Office
What to expect on a day to day basis:
* To work with and support the Kidswear and Special Purchase Team with their day to day duties.
* Understand the Joules quality standards, processes and procedures and
the part they play in driving customer satisfaction.
* Support the Commercial teams to ensure our products meet the Joules
quality standard, from design through to production.
* Constantly drive improvement and innovation with regards to product
quality and fabric performance in order to reduce customer returns thus
drive revenue.
* Support the Fabric team with roll-ups, business level reviews and strategic
seasonal cross costing projects.
* Complete risk assessments for all new fabrics and mills/routes.
* Support with colour and fabric development process from design through
to supply chain.
* Work collaboratively to identify key fabric trends for the upcoming season
and present findings to the Buying and Design teams.
* Ensure minimum parameters are set and monitored with regards to
margin improvement and fabric consolidation.
* Collate information ahead of weekly CP meetings and highlight any risk,
recommend solutions and support the Senior teams with issues that arise.
About You:
From a technical and operational perspective, it would also be advantageous if you have:
* A relevant qualification or relevant experience.
* A well rounded knowledge of raw materials, fibres, yarns and fabrics would be beneficial.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* To be able to communicate with overseas suppliers.
* High level of awareness and sense of urgency.

Where will you be working?
This is a full time role based at 'The Barn' - Joules' purpose built Head Office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. This role is office based working onsite, as we believe this is where we make the best decisions together.
