Overview
Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist looking to contribute to the leadership and clinical expertise of highly skilled and committed multidisciplinary teams within an acute female 17-bed inpatient ward in Aylesbury? Do you have an interest in working with people with severe mental illness and complex emotional needs?
You will be fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and on the Specialist Register or be within six months of attaining your Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or an equivalent approved indicator of training. If you are highly motivated and able to demonstrate adapting to the changing circumstances of modern mental healthcare, we look forward to your application!

Person Specification
Experience
* Essential: Experience of the full range of clinical responsibilities expected of a consultant in this specialty.
* Experience of close collaborative work with social care and other agencies.
Desirable
* Application of evidence based practice and interest in clinical and policy developments for this care group.
Other requirements
* Essential: GMC registration (full); Mobility as required for the post with adjustments in line with the Equality Act 2010; Good IT skills including typing; Driving licence transport and own transport; Meet specifications in GMC Guidance: Duties of doctor.
* Desirable: Driving license with adjustments possible in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Qualifications
* Membership or Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, or equivalent qualification in accordance with Royal College of Psychiatrists Guidelines.
* Approved Clinician (AC) status and Section 12 (MHA) approval are essential. Candidates who are in the process of gaining AC approval will be considered.
* Higher degree or equivalent in relevant field of medical, psychological or other studies.
