Hours: School hours (typically Monday–Friday, daytime only)

About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated SEN 1:1 Tutor to support children and young people with additional needs in either their home environment or school setting across the Loughborough area.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a positive difference to pupils who may require tailored educational support due to SEND, SEMH, ASD, ADHD, anxiety, or other learning barriers.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging 1:1 educational support tailored to each pupil’s needs
* Support pupils academically, socially, and emotionally
* Adapt learning approaches to suit individual learning styles
* Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and families
* Liaise with schools, parents, and professionals where appropriate
* Maintain accurate session records and progress notes
* Promote confidence, independence, and re-engagement in learning
Requirements
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEND
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills
* Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
* Ability to plan and deliver personalised learning activities
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred
Desirable
* Teaching qualification, tutoring experience, or TA background
* Experience supporting pupils with:
o Autism (ASD)
o ADHD
o SEMH
o EBSA/anxiety-based school avoidance
o Moderate learning difficulties
