Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Facilities Supervisor to join this educational, publlic sector organisation.
We are looking for an Facilities Supervisor who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.
The Facilities Supervisor, will be responsible for:

Managing PPM, reactive repairs, inspections, heating/lighting systems, plant operation, signage, redecoration, and minibus maintenance.

Managing helpdesk requests, maintaining premises documentation, recording utilities and H&S checks, and liaising with contractors for repairs and planned works.
*
Ensuring full compliance with health & safety procedures, including risk assessments, audits, incident logging, fire alarm testing, emergency drills, COSHH compliance, legionella checks, and maintaining safe escape routes.

Overseeing site security, including opening/closing buildings, key holding, alarm response, CCTV oversight, and ensuring a safe environment for staff, students and visitors.

Overseeing cleaning standards, supporting cleaners when required, organising deep cleans, managing waste, and maintaining hygiene across the site.

Completing porterage tasks such as moving furniture/equipment, handling deliveries, storage management and disposing of redundant items.
*
Maintaining external areas, including paths, playgrounds, driveways, snow/ice clearance, vandalism repairs, graffiti removal, and litter/waste management.
*
Monitoring heating/lighting controls, maintaining plant rooms, replacing lighting with PPE, and ensuring PAT testing is completed.

Upholding safeguarding duties, modelling positive behaviour, following all policies, supporting sustainability.
To be successful for this Facilities Supervisor role you must have:
* Good knowledge of MS Office.
* Have previous experiecne working in Education.
* Ability to plan, prioritise and analyse tasks effectively.
* Strong knowledge of basic site maintenance across building services (heating, plumbing, carpentry, electrical).
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work positively with diverse individuals.
* Basic DIY abilities
* Experience in building maintenance work and supervising staff.
* Ability to comply with policies including Safeguarding, Equality & Diversity, and Health & Safety.
* Ability to undertake manual handling tasks, including lifting, climbing and moving equipment.
* Ability to interact sensitively and flexibly with learners.
* Experience driving a minibus up to 17 seats (desirable).
* Recognised caretaking or maintenance-related training/qualifications (desirable).
* A full, clean D1 driving licence and valid MIDAS training (both desirable).
