We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bar T eam Leader to join our team at Lyons Woodlands Hall Country Park in Ruthin. If leading a successful team of people is your number one skill whilst having a 5-star service mentality and critical eye for detail, then read on!
Supported by the Bar Manager, the Bar Team Leader is responsible for engaging and inspiring their team each day and setting direction in relation to the day to day tasks. They ensure that the team are guest obsessed, exceed targets, work in a clean and inviting environment and follow standard operating procedures.
You will have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the management and tasks for the Food & Beverage Department. You will have, or be williing to work towards, a minimum of Level 2 in Food Safety and also be able to demonstrate experience in Cellar Management.
Responsibilities for the Role:
Business:
1. Takes ownership of shift and service delivery ensuring all team are guest obsessed
2. Monitors daily service and tasks, observing speed of service, arranging appropriate resource when needed
3. Achieve and exceed targets and key performance indicators
4. Complete relevant administrative tasks including Team Rota’s, Accurate hours worked recording, safety compliance checks and legislative compliance checks. Follow the relevant Haven process to attract, recruit and onboard new team members
5. Manage all Stock Margin, Cash Procedures and Cost Control in the department maximising profit and minimise loss.
Guests:
6. Confidently deals with guest concerns with the ability to resolve problems, show empathy and understanding. Reacts to Guest Feedback and works with the team to respond quickly to address areas for improvement
Team:
7. Leads and coaches the team daily to ensure all areas of responsibility are covered, guiding all team members when needed and escalate issues to Complex Manager or Assistant Complex Manager when required. Deals with any employee relations issues as they arise. Support team through the induction including completion of mandatory safe and secure training
8. Ensure all team have the relevant qualifications and completed all training required for role
9. Identifying and developing future talent in department ensuring all team have a relevant and effective PDP
