Healthcare Assistant (Nights)Fairmile Grange – An Allega Care Home, ChristchurchFairmile Grange is seeking warm, compassionate Healthcare Assistants to join our dedicated team at our beautiful care home in Christchurch.This is a night-time role, including alternate weekends, offering flexible working patterns to support a healthy work-life balance.About the RoleAs a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to our residents. Working alongside Senior Healthcare Assistants and Registered Nurses, you will provide practical, physical, emotional, and social support with dignity and respect.You will help ensure each resident's individual needs and preferences are met, while maintaining clear communication with families and healthcare professionals.Whether you are experienced or new to care, we provide full training and ongoing development opportunities to support your career progression.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver high standards of personal care, including washing, oral care, toileting, mobility, and manual handlingSupport residents with a wide range of needs, from companionship to complex careAssist with daily wellbeing activities, hobbies, and social eventsMaintain accurate care records, including fluid and dietary chartsMonitor and report any changes or concerns to nursing staffSupport residents' nutritional needs, including assistance with eating and drinkingHelp maintain skin integrity and report any concernsAccompany residents to appointments where requiredCommunicate effectively with families, colleagues, and healthcare professionalsSupport and mentor new team members during induction and trainingAbout YouCaring, compassionate, and positive approachStrong communication skillsFlexible and reliable, including working alternate weekendsAvailable to work 1–3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts)Previous care experience is desirable but not essentialWhat We Offer£12.93 per hour, with enhanced pay for bank holidaysFunded training and career progression (including pathways to Nursing Associate)28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)Paid breaksFree uniform and meals while on shiftRecognition and rewards programmeWorkplace pension schemeLong service awardsEmployee Assistance ProgrammeEquality & InclusionFairmile Grange is proud to be an equal opportunities employer.
