Salary: £30,000 - 40,000 per year Requirements: We are looking for a strong technical background in IT support or systems administration, with practical experience in some of the areas listed below and a willingness to learn the rest. We want experience working in an IT helpdesk environment supporting users and managing Windows 10/11 and Mac devices. We want experience administering Microsoft 365 services, including Azure Entra, Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams. We want experience managing end user devices through MDM platforms such as Intune or Microsoft Endpoint Management. We want knowledge of internal infrastructure administration, including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VPN, and endpoint security. We want experience with process automation using scripting tools such as PowerShell and Power Automate. We value knowledge of security frameworks and certifications such as BSI 27001 and Cyber Essentials. We value experience in managing, investigating, and resolving vulnerabilities. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, highly organised, able to multitask and prioritise, and a clear communicator at all levels. We require regular office attendance in Abingdon, with some home working available once fully established in the role. Responsibilities: We provide internal help desk support to more than 130 staff. We support and maintain our internal systems, which are mainly cloud hosted, alongside a minimal local infrastructure. We maintain our local network, including firewall, VPN, Wi-Fi, and Active Directory services. We administer our Azure and Microsoft 365 environment. We manage end user devices and endpoint security. We onboard new starters and support their setup. We help keep our Information Security Management System records and procedures up to date. We carry out research, planning, and implementation work as our internal systems evolve. We look for opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency. We resolve user issues and maintain reliable day-to-day IT operations.
