The Ideal Person The successful candidate must have extensive experience working within hyperscale or large enterprise data centres, with a proven background in fibre optic and structured cabling installation, termination, and testing. You will have: Minimum 5 years' experience in fibre and copper cabling installations Extensive experience in hyperscale data centre environments, with a strong understanding of security and compliance procedures Proven ability to install, test, and certify Cat6, Cat6A, and Cat7 structured cabling systems Competence in OTDR, Fluke DSX, and Light Source/Power Meter testing Experience in fusion and mechanical splicing Strong knowledge of TIA/EIA, BS/EN, and BICSI standards Ability to interpret technical drawings and work to high-precision installation standards Excellent communication and teamwork skills Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to local and regional project sites Desirable: CNCI or BICSI certification, or manufacturer accreditations such as Commscope, Siemon, or Panduit Experience working within live mission-critical environments Responsibilities As a Fibre & Data Cable Installer / Tester, you will support the delivery of major data centre and smart infrastructure projects across Northern Ireland and the wider UK.
