Overview
Research & Development Senior Administrator at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT). This is a full-time (37.5 hours) post for 22 months.
Responsibilities
* Provide high quality administrative services to Research and Development (R&D).
* Provide general support to the R&D project lead including administrative and logistical assistance, facilitating study setup and ongoing research support for CPFT hosted and sponsored projects.
* Support R&D in the administration of externally funded clinical trials and other investigator-led research taking place in the Trust.
* Supervise the band 3 R&D Administrator at the Cavell Centre in Peterborough; maintain a high degree of independence, flexibility and initiative.
* Work with the R&D Project Lead to act as a point of contact for researchers applying for funding for healthcare research, ensuring access to the Trust\'s research management functions.
* Provide general support to the R&D team based at the Windsor Research Unit and, when needed, the Cavell Centre R&D facility.
* Liaise with consultants, managers, nursing and other clinical staff, and with local and national organisations as necessary for the functioning of the team.
* Greet and welcome research participants to the unit, respond to queries promptly and ensure their comfort, including arranging transport to research visits if required.
Qualification & Skills
* High degree of independence, flexibility and initiative.
* Experience in administration of research projects or clinical trials is desirable.
