Role Overview
The Children and Families Department takes a strengths‑based approach to working with children, young people and families. We are seeking a dedicated Children’s Service Manager to oversee our Court and Permanence Services, ensuring high‑quality support and effective progress plans for the children and families we serve.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide overall oversight and management of legal planning meetings and care proceedings within Nottinghamshire.
* Assist teams in responding to immediate risks for children and families on a daily basis.
* Ensure both service areas perform at a high level, utilising data from our Business Intelligence systems to maintain quality.
* Directly manage Team Managers within the Court and Permanence Services, ensuring they receive monthly quality supervision.
* Work closely with Human Resources to address and progress any practice concerns.
* Oversee the budgets for both the Court and Permanence Services.
Required Qualifications and Experience
* A relevant professional qualification in social work or a related field.
* Extensive experience in children’s social care, particularly in court and permanence services.
* Strong understanding of legal frameworks and child protection legislation.
* Proven track record of managing budgets and resources effectively.
