Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant with Midday Assistant Duties
Teaching Assistant - 27.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday 8:45am – 3:15pm). Scale 3 points 5-6 (Actual £16,263.77 - £16,521.79) based on part time/term time.
Midday Assistant - 2.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday 30 minutes per day). Scale 1 point 3 (Actual £1,433.02 based on part time/term time).
Post is fixed term from 4 November (or asap if on notice) as soon as possible until 31 August 2026 in the first instance.
Required as soon as possible.

We are seeking to appoint a motivated and creative Teaching Assistant to work within and be a part of our dedicated team. This role involves supporting children with SEND, some of which have complex needs, within the classroom and our alternative provision base, and the planning, delivery and evaluation of intervention programs.
The Head teacher and governors and of this friendly and successful school would like to appoint a teaching assistant who:
* Have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people;
* Love working with children;
* Have high expectations for the children and have a proven track record of helping children to make excellent progress;
* Set high levels of standards and behaviour;
* Have experience of supporting teaching and learning within EYFS, KS1 or KS2
* Have experience in delivering targeted intervention support;
* Have excellent organisational skills and enjoy a challenge;
* Has a thorough understanding of the needs of young children, especially those with Special Educational Needs such as ASD and complex needs;
* Can work well in a team;
* Is kind and friendly but clear about expectations.
