Spire Claremont Hospital are currently recruiting for an experienced Chef/Cook to be part of the catering team experience of working in a busy kitchen environment is required.
Spire Claremont Hospital has provided first-class independent healthcare at the heart of the South Yorkshire community since 1953. Our hospital is situated among beautifully landscaped grounds in Crosspool, Sheffield and it is situated 3 miles (about 20 minutes) to the south west of Sheffield city centre.
Claremont Hospital has 42 beds, three laminar flow theatres, 13 consulting rooms, a static MRI and CT scanner, and plain and digital X-ray. The hospital provides surgery and outpatients with diagnostic imaging services.

Job Purpose:
Our catering team are responsible for providing exceptional food quality for our patients and staff based on our central corporate menu. Reporting to the Head Chef you will assist in the preparation, cooking and delivery of a food and beverage service to patients, consultants and staff in both the staff restaurant and patient rooms.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. o assist the Head Chef as directed, with preparation of food, including peeling/chopping of vegetables.
2. Meal preparation including cooking of some food items which will be agreed between the Head Chef and the catering assistants.
3. Presentation and service of food and beverages, to the specified standard, to staff, patients and consultants.
4. To assist, when required, with the service of food to staff, consultants, visitors and patients in both the restaurant and wards.
5. To maintain adequate control of all stock through stock rotation, date checking and ensuring packaging is intact in the kitchen, pantry.
6. To comply with the health and safety procedures in accordance with current legislation.
7. To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in all tasks and duties.
Who we're looking for:
8. Must have previous Chef/Cookery experience
9. Food Safety Level 3 essential
10. Hold relevant certificates or be willing to undertake specialist training in specific areas
11. Knowledge & Experience in similar establishment
12. Professional self-starter able to work unaided
13. Highly organised and capable of working in a busy, fast-paced environment
