Description Senior Laboratory Technician About the role A new and exciting opportunity to join Cormac’s GeoConsultancy as a Senior Laboratory Technician has arisen in the materials testing laboratory. The laboratory undertakes sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, asphalt and concrete within a UKAS accredited testing environment. Working alongside the laboratory manager, you will carry out the routine sampling and testing of materials, book-in, control and dispose of samples, carry out the calculation of test results and to produce test reports for clients and be responsible for the care and maintenance of equipment. Projects you’ll work on We work collaboratively with the Local Authority, CORSERV group of companies and external customers to deliver geoconsultancy services across Cornwall & the South West in line with our 4-year Business Plan. About you You will be an enthusiastic individual with a science based education interest in a technical based career within the field of ground investigation & engineering. We are looking for you to bring: Experience of working on own initiative and as part of a team; Good IT, report writing and communication skills; Good analytical skills; Strong focus on health and safety with excellent client management skills You will also require a full driving licence (covering manual vehicles) and have the proven ability to undertake and fulfil the physical demands of the position.
