Job description
I am currently recruiting for a SEN Support worker and Teaching/Learning Support Assistants to join an Ofsted ‘GOOD’ SEN School in New Malden starting immediately.
The roles will be full-time, long-term, supporting various aspects of education (all classroom based), 1:1 and group learning for Key Stage 5 pupils (16 to 25 years old), the school caters for children with Social Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties and additional Learning Difficulties / Special Educational Needs.
*The school will consider individuals who have experience in mainstream schools and graduates as they will be providing on site training and CPD.
Location: South London (New Malden, KT3)
Duration: Long Term
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Monday – Thursday (Full-Time)
The successful applicants will have:
· Experience of working with or caring for children of a relevant age (Primary – Key Stage 1 and/or 2, mixed gender)
· Previous experience working with vulnerable individuals or SEN
· Excellent Behaviour Management skills
· Ability to utilise/implement Positive Behaviour Strategies
· A calm, patient manner and ability to react positively to a fast-changing environment
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, staff and parents/careers
· Ability to competently use a computer and the Internet (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
· An Enhanced Child & Adult Workforce barred list DBS Certificate registered on the update service
