We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. In this role, you will manage all aspects of cost planning and commercial management across a range of projects, ensuring that financial targets are met and value is delivered. Success in this position means maintaining high standards of accuracy, supporting the delivery of projects on budget, and building strong relationships with both clients and suppliers. As a key member of our team, you will play an important part in driving the business forward and ensuring the continued success of our projects.
Responsibilities
* Prepare cost estimates and project budgets at all stages of the project lifecycle.
* Manage procurement processes including tendering, analysis, and contract negotiation.
* Conduct valuations, variations, and cost reporting throughout project delivery.
* Assess subcontractor applications and manage payments.
* Liaise closely with project teams to ensure cost control and forecasting are maintained.
* Advise on contractual matters and risk management.
* Support final account settlements and project close-outs.
* Ensure compliance with all company procedures and relevant legislation.
Qualifications
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
* [Chartered Membership (MRICS) or working towards accreditation preferred.]
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts, particularly JCT and NEC forms.
* Excellent numerical and financial management skills.
* Effective negotiation and communication skills.
* High level of attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with cost management software is a plus.
