Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Blackwood, Caerphilly

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Blackwood, Caerphilly for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. The role is full time for 36 hours per week over 4 days, along with 1 in 8 Saturday mornings. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

The role

13. The role offers the Vet the opportunity to further their career as they will be working with experienced Vets and will be given a wide range of clinical and surgical cases
14. The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service
15. The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

17. They have two fully equipped sites offering facilities including digital and dental x-ray, endoscope, ultrasound, and equipped theatres
18. They have a supportive team of 12 vets, 9 nurses and a supportive non-clinical team
19. 3 of the Vets are Clinical Directors
20. One Vet holds a certificate in Medicine and another Vet has a special interest in Orthopaedics
21. The practice encourage case discussions and provide a supportive environment
22. They can offer a wide variety of cases and believe in case continuity and offer support to the team where required
23. The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

About you
30. The practice are open to applications from various levels of experience and they can tailor the role to suit either a new graduate or a more experienced Vet
31. The Vet will be a team player, with good interpersonal skills and be able to establish strong working relationships.
32. The vet will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills
33. The Vet will always maintain a high standard of clinical care and always willing to go that extra mile for patients
Package
34. Salary: Up to £65, per annum, commensurate to experience
35. Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, increasing with service and birthday off
36. CPD: Generous allowance of £1, with 45 hours to attend
