We are looking for enthusiastic candidates with 6 months + freight experience and some knowledge of using the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) system Import/ Exports, and able to think quickly on their feet to resolve issues as they arise. The ideal candidate will be organised, adaptable, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment to support our time critical operation.This role is office based, working Monday - Friday, (working hours to be agreed) with rolling weekend cover (on call) one weekend evening a month. Once trained Key Responsibilities:
· Knowledge of Customs Declaration Service (CDS) system to prepare and submit customs declarations accurately and efficiently.· Import & Export if you have experience in one will train on the other. · Some experience of cutting and processing airline documentation, ensuring all paperwork complies with relevant regulations and company standards.· Monitor and manage shipments from start to finish, troubleshooting any issues promptly.· Thinking quickly and adapting to changing priorities or unexpected challenges during the process.· Collaborate with airlines, customs officials, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and compliance.Experience:
· 6 months freight experience some knowledge with the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) system is essential.· Ideally Import/ Export customs experience, however if you have 1 will train on the other. · Previous experience preparing airline documentation is preferred.· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.· Quick thinker with problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.· Knowledge of customs regulations and international shipping processes is a plus.Benefits· Salary up to £25K depending on experience.· Government incentivized pension scheme· Opportunity to develop your skills within a growing company· Supportive team environment· Training and professional development opportunities· Possibility of overseas travel as part of our OBC network, delivering packages to customers all over the world.· On- Site Parking.· Company eventsMonday to Friday.
