The University of Brighton seeks a practice‑focused academic with expert knowledge and experience of industry‑applied practices in Electronic Music and Sound. Fine Art is one of four subject groupings in the School of Art and Media. As a subject group it has an established history and comprises highly respected courses, which place value on how practice is integrated with cultural and critical studies. The successful candidate will play an important and active part in developing practice and theoretical strands of learning within the BA Electronic Music and Sound course. You will also collaborate with students and colleagues to realise a collective vision. Central to this will be the ability to build a peer learning community which is both supportive and stable and at the same time challenging, vibrant and dynamic.

* The ability to work as part of a team and to effectively time‑manage and meet pressing deadlines are essential.
* A degree and up‑to‑date, sound knowledge of the subject including current professional/vocational developments.

The successful candidate will join the School of Art and Media Fine Art programme based at our Grand Parade campus.
