Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant
Location: Darlington
Salary: £90 – £115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are currently seeking enthusiastic and nurturing Early Years Teaching Assistants to work in schools and early years settings across Darlington.
This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in EYFS environments and supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing during these crucial early stages.
Responsibilities:
* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative EYFS activities
* Assist with phonics, early literacy, and numeracy development
* Provide one-to-one and small group support where required
* Encourage positive behaviour and social development
* Support children’s emotional wellbeing and personal development
* Help set up and maintain stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments
* Observe and record children’s progress in line with EYFS framework
* Ensure safeguarding and health and safety procedures are followed at all times
Requirements:
* Experience working with children in an Early Years setting
* Knowledge of the EYFS framework (desirable)
* A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Relevant childcare qualification (desirable but not essential)
* Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
