Job Title: Trainee Water Treatment Engineer
Location: North East
Salary: £25,000 per annum (DOE) + Benefits
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Trainee Water Treatment Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of water hygiene in line with industry regulations. Your main duties will be on the emphasis of dynamic flushing of heating and chilled water systems in accordance with BSRIA guidelines and disinfection of domestic hot and cold water systems at various new and existing commercial and industrial properties.

Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct on site sampling and analysis of closed loop systems e.g. pH, conductivity, inhibitor levels, microbiological activity
* Domestic disinfections of Hot &Cold Water systems
* Select and apply the correct chemical treatments e.g. inhibitors, biocides, dispersants to prevent corrosion, scaling and microbial growth
* Inspect and service system components, including filters, strainers, expansion vessels and dosing pots.
* Perform temperature monitoring of Hot & Cold Water Systems
* Collect Water samples
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Based in and around Newcastle-upon-Tyne
* GCSE/A-Levels (or equivalent) in Science, Chemistry or Engineering
* Have a keen interest in chemistry
* Have the ability and willingness to learn
