We pay an attractive salary of £33,731 - £51,942 (TM02 – UPS3) and offer access to training and development opportunities.
Waunfawr Primary School, Crosskeys, is recruiting two teachers for September 2026. We seek dedicated, creative practitioners with strong communication, organisational skills and strong subject knowledge of literacy, numeracy and the Curriculum for Wales.
Candidates should plan effectively for progress, nurture pupils with additional learning needs, and work confidently with mixed‑age and varied‑ability classes. Waunfawr Primary is a friendly, inclusive 3–11 school with around 165 pupils, set in the Sirhowy Valley. We offer supportive staff, engaged learners, positive behaviour systems, welcoming environments and strong professional development. School tours are offered to shortlisted applicants.
For the role, we ask that you have:
Qualified teacher status
An interest in, or experience of leading the DCF (Digital Competence Framework), STEM, or an alternative Area of Learning and Experience (AOLE).
Ability to create a challenging and effective learning environment and have effective pupil management skills

Your employment will be subject to satisfactory documentary evidence of registration, and continuing registration, as a Learning Support Assistant with the EWC.
