About the role
As a Portfolio Operations Manager, you will support the day-to-day servicing and monitoring of the loan book, encompassing covenant testing, compliance reporting, restructures, extensions, redemptions, arrears, and recoveries. The role focuses on operational execution, delivering strong customer outcomes, and maintaining accurate records within internal systems such as nCino. You will manage servicing tasks across the loan lifecycle, ensure timely covenant and compliance reporting, and assist in managing arrears and recovery cases in line with policy. Collaboration with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams will be key to ensuring all servicing activities meet regulatory standards, while contributing to ongoing process improvements that enhance efficiency and the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage servicing tasks across the loan lifecycle, including variations, redemptions, extensions, and restructures.
* Conduct covenant testing and compliance reporting to monitor borrower obligations and regulatory adherence.
* Support arrears management and recovery efforts, engaging early and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
* Maintain accurate records and workflows using internal systems, including nCino, ensuring data integrity and audit readiness.
* Monitor task completion against SLAs, proactively identifying and escalating issues where required.
* Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure all servicing activities meet regulatory and policy standards.
* Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
Required Qualifications
* 2–5 years’ experience in lending operations, ideally with exposure to portfolio servicing, arrears, or recoveries.
* Understanding of covenant monitoring, loan variations, and customer servicing processes.
* Experience in debt handling or recoveries is advantageous.
* Proficient in using internal systems to manage workflows and maintain accurate records; familiarity with nCino is beneficial.
* Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
