The Role: Engineer

It is important to note that our Engineers work away from home a lot, therefore the successful applicant will enjoy travelling, working away from home and enjoy a spontaneous lifestyle Before applying for this role, there are some essential requirements:

* Ability to commute to the office in Thornton, Bradford.

The Specifics
A Fuel Storage Solutions Engineer will help deliver quality and flexible service to our client base. To be considered for this role, you will have an interest or experience in mechanical/electrical engineering. Our Engineers carry out maintenance, compliance testing, fault finding and installation of fuelling systems across a variety of customer sites. We provided dedicated training in house from entry-level to senior.
The key duties for an FSS Engineer are:
* Carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown cover to required standards across our customer base, and resolve any issues found.
* Diagnose breakdown causes and repair efficiently and optimally.
* Carry out equipment installations as required to current organisational and regulatory standards; and be involved in or be familiar with any project plans for the installation of new equipment.
* Support and contribute to the development of safe systems of work, ensuring that Company health and safety standards are followed, and safe working practices are always adopted.
* Carry out mechanical/electrical maintenance within defined scope.
* Be proactive in any business process improvement initiatives and be aware of equipment performance trends such as efficiency and quality.
* To work as part of a service team.
* To be versatile with the ability to multitask.
* Develop and maintain a good relationship with customers.
To be successful in your application for an FSS Engineer, the key skills and experience you will have are:
* Interest/experience in mechanical engineering.
* Familiarity with pipework installations and repair (or transferable experience).
* Strong interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work on your own initiative.
* Excellent communication, both written and verbally.
* Willingness to learn.
* Time management: prioritise own workload, work to deadlines and be able to work under pressure.
* Experience working in a highly regulated industry.
* Capability of obtaining (or already have) high level security clearances to be eligible to work within the sectors FSS support.
* The drive to champion quality and high performance.

* Be confident to feedback quality accurate information.
* The ability to identify commercial opportunities.
* The passion for engineering, people and providing outstanding service.
Desired skills/experience (advantageous but not essential):
* Experience working with fuel.
* Experience and knowledge of basic.
* Electrical fault finding
* Knowledge of CAD tools and General Engineering Drawing Practice
