Job Summary
Teledyne Controls (part of Teledyne UK Ltd) is recruiting for a Repair Technician at our facility in Cumbernauld. We provide intelligent solutions that collect, manage, and deliver aircraft data, supporting major airlines and OEMs such as Airbus and Boeing.
Responsibilities
* Set up and conduct tests on equipment, materials, or prototypes.
* Record and analyse data to ensure compliance with standards.
* Diagnose and repair faults in machinery or systems.
* Perform routine maintenance and upgrades.
* Inspect products and systems to ensure they meet quality standards.
* Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
* Maintain accurate records of tests, repairs, and procedures.
* Create reports for engineers and managers.
* Recommend improvements or modifications when required.
Qualifications
* HNC/HND in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Basic mechanical and electronics experience, with emphasis on electronic skills.
* Knowledge of the principles of electronics and troubleshooting techniques.
* Experience testing electronic assemblies using traditional tooling such as multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply, and function generator.
* Experience using a variety of hand tools and machine shop tools, including soldering iron, hand drill, etc.
* Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Effective written and verbal communication skills; able to read schematics.
* Able to handle frequent change, delays, unexpected events, and ambiguity.
* Strong analytical skills and sound judgement for error‑free repairs.

Work Schedule
37 hours per week: 2‑week rotation of dayshift and backshift.
* Dayshift 7:00‑15:15 hrs Mon‑Thurs; 7:00‑13:30 hrs Fri.
* Backshift 15:00‑23:15 hrs Mon‑Thurs; 13:15‑19:45 hrs Fri.
