CAD Draughtsperson Based near Attleborough, Norfolk Permanent, fulltime Salary based on experience £35,000 – £40,000 per annum benefits Are Norfolk based bespoke design client are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Draughtsperson to join their design and production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and detailed CAD models to support the manufacture and installation of custom products. Working closely with project managers, designers, and workshop teams, you’ll help translate creative concepts into accurate and buildable production drawings. Main Duties & Responsibilities The job comprises of the main areas outlined below: Produce detailed 2D technical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Sketchup & Layout or similar software Interpret design briefs, sketches, and concept drawings to generate production-ready drawings Liaise with the design, production, and project management teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility of drawings Prepare cutting lists, material specifications, and assembly guides for workshop teams Revise drawings based on feedback from internal teams or clients Ensure all drawings are produced to a high standard and in accordance with project timelines Maintain and update technical drawing files and records Support project installations with technical documentation where required Requirements: Proven experience as a Draughtsperson, ideally within bespoke joinery, interiors, exhibitions, or set build industries Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD software) Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and joinery techniques Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to interpret and visualise creative design concepts into technical outputs Good communication and collaboration skills Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines Attend team meetings. Managing set personal targets. Proven experience as a Draughtsperson, ideally within bespoke joinery, interiors, exhibitions, or set build industries Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD software) Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and joinery techniques Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to interpret and visualise creative design concepts into technical outputs Good communication and collaboration skills Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines Excellent organizational skills. The ability to effectively take direction and work collaboratively Desirable Skills Experience working in a workshop or manufacturing environment Knowledge of CNC machinery and programming would be of interest but not essential.
