An Operations Manager is responsible for the effective operational management of the hotel, ensuring Heads of Department achieve and exceed their revenue and Guest satisfaction targets.
What will I be doing?
As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the effective operational management of the hotel, ensuring that departmental targets are met and exceeded. Your key tasks will include:
* Working with the General Manager to manage key property issues (including capital projects and customer service)
* Assisting in developing meaningful, achievable hotel budgets and strategic goals
* Providing effective leadership to the management team and staff
* Responding to audits to ensure continuous improvement
* Planning and coordinating operational departments to meet guest expectations
* Ensuring compliance with hotel and company Service Standards
* Controlling costs and analyzing results to address issues
* Developing Heads of Department for career progression and succession planning
* Responding to Guest feedback to maintain high satisfaction levels
* Holding regular team briefings and communication meetings
What are we looking for?
To succeed as an Operations Manager at Hilton, you should have:
* A degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent experience
* Strong commercial acumen, preferably with experience in Rooms Management or F&B service
* Experience in managing budgets, revenue proposals, and forecasting
* In-depth knowledge of the hotel/leisure/service sector
* Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage teams
* Accountability and resilience
* Ability to work under pressure
It would be advantageous to demonstrate:
* Knowledge of hotel property management systems
* Previous experience in a similar role
