Head of Care Group - UEC, Community Hospital and Specialist Services

We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, motivational leader to support the Divisional Director in leading core elements of a new Physical Health Division. As a Head of Care Group for Urgent & Emergency Care, Community Hospitals and Specialist Services you will have the skills, experience, determination and imagination to drive effective service delivery, optimising patient and staff experience, outcomes and efficiency. You will also be able to synthesise complex information clearly and concisely in writing or in person.
The role will challenge you as you build a team and manage change from day one. You will have the practical and moral support of the Divisional Director and the wider Divisional team to deliver agreed strategic objectives, and to embed a healthy culture that accords with Trust values and nurtures and develops talent.
The role is 37.5 hours per week. We are open to discussing flexible working.
Main duties of the job
* Be accountable for the management and delivery of services on a day-to-day operational basis across the Care Group.
* Directly supervise a range of Team Service Leads working within the Care Group.
* Ensure Team Service Managers are accountable for the performance and quality of service delivery within their teams.
* Walk the floor maintaining a high profile amongst teams and services, using all means of communication to ensure staff are well briefed on developments across the Trust.
* Ensure the identification of risk within the service, facilitating appropriate action to reduce risk in line with Trust policy.
* Ensure that services within the Care Group meet standards set by the CQC.
* Support the Divisional Director to deliver CIPs by redesigning and reviewing services, realising efficiencies by fostering and encouraging a creative, innovative approach to service delivery.

Experience
* Experience at senior management level within the NHS, including the management of team or service leads
* Evidence of working within a community physical health setting for either children or adults
* Partnership working across health and social care organisations
* Developing multi-disciplinary / multi-agency collaborative working
* Experience of business/service planning
* Experience of leading service improvement or change
* Management of budgets
* Interpreting organisational strategy and/or national policy for service portfolio
Qualifications
* First level degree or equivalent experience gained through an alternative route
* Masters degree or equivalent experience gained through an alternative route
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* Understand that you will be asked to provide original certificates to verify your qualifications at point of offer
