Overview

Social, Emotional, Mental Health Assistant Lewisham Specialist SEMH School

EdEx are exclusively working with a leading specialist SEMH secondary school in Lewisham who are looking to find x3 Behaviour Mentors (SEMH) for September 2025 starts. This is a rare opportunity to join a close-knit specialist SEMH / Mental Health school for young people who require specialist SEMH support within a small school setting.

This is a September 2025 start position, Monday - Friday, school hours (8:30am - 4:00pm). The daily rate for this role is between 110 - 120 per day experience dependant.


Role Details

* Position: Social, Emotional, Mental Health Assistant
* Location: Lewisham
* School type: Specialist SEMH School – 65 pupils aged 10-18
* Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm
* Contract: Long term, seeking for at least one full academic year (Sept 2025 – July 2026) with potential for permanent contract from Sept 2026
* Salary: 110 - 120 per day, paid weekly (Term Time Only)
* Start: September 2025 – Multiple Vacancies
* Training: Excellent training, support and professional development available

Responsibilities & Expectations

* Support students with SEMH needs in a small school setting
* Provide confident, firm but fair and supportive guidance to help students succeed
* Contribute to positive behaviour management and inclusive learning environments
* Engage with a wide-ranging curriculum and school activities
