DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES :
* Conducts HIV HepatitisC STI screenings with the prov1s1onof general health and HIV/STI education and/or referrals to localcommunity agencies as appropriate.
* Providessupport in maintaining safe sex practices reducing HIV/STIinfection or reinfection.
* Implementsevidencebased interventions (EBls) in accordance with programcurriculum.
* Conducts intake monthly followupsand discharge assessments face to facevirtually or byphone.
* Maintains accountability for programequipment suppliesconfidential client recordsand performs qualitymanagement and assurance activities.
* Providestargeted outreachrecruitment and coordination of oncampus andexternal program activities and events.
* Mustbe comfortable and culturally competent to work with specialpopulations including the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT)community.
* Responsible for establishingtrusting relationships with community partners and programparticipants.
* Attends team meetings andrequired trainings as scheduled.
* Manages dailyoffice operationsschedules appointments and answers phones asappropriate.
* Must have access to reliable andconsistent transportation and able to travel locally.
* Will require schedule flexibility to include someevenings and weekends.
* Performs otherjobrelated duties as assigned.
MINIMUMREQUIREMENTS:
Educationand Experience:
* Bachelors degree AND six (6) months to one (1) yearrelated experience.
Preferred:
* Valid Texas Drivers License.
* Certification as Community Health Worker (CHW) orCertified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
* A minimum of 6months paid or volunteer experience workingwith HIV/AIDS and/or substance using populations.
* Fluent in Spanish.
Knowledgeof:
