Overview
The Contracts and Specialist Services Manager is a pivotal leadership role within Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust, responsible for overseeing the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of specialist engineering and facilities services across the estate; services provided through subcontracted providers.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of specialist estates and facilities services provided by subcontracted service providers, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, NHS HTM standards, and Trust policies.
* Act as the primary liaison between the Estates and Facilities team, Procurement, and contracted service providers to ensure effective contract mobilisation, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
* Develop and implement robust contract management strategies, including service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and continuous improvement plans.
* Oversee the administration and performance of the Trust’s stores and supply chain functions, ensuring timely availability of materials and equipment to support operational delivery.
* Ensure all specialist services delivered by subcontracted providers are compliant with statutory legislation, NHS Health Technical Memoranda (HTMs), and Trust policies.
* Develop and maintain robust compliance monitoring systems for all contracted services, including documentation, audit trails, and inspection readiness.
* Identify and mitigate risks associated with outsourced service delivery, including reputational, operational, and financial risks.
* Lead on the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure safe systems of work across all contracted services.
* Monitor and report on compliance performance, identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
