H9 Talent Solutions are hiring for a Senior Vice President to work at our power generation investment client in London to be responsible for driving deal execution, portfolio strategy and business origination.
Reporting directly to the Director of Investments, the SVP plays a critical leadership role in the firm’s strategic growth agenda, blending analytical rigor, commercial insight and relationship leadership to source, evaluate and execute investments.
Role and Responsibilities
Deal Origination & Market Strategy
* Identify and develop new investment opportunities across target sectors through proactive sourcing, market research and network engagement.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with intermediaries, founders, corporate partners, institutional investors and co-investors.
Due Diligence & Investment Analysis
* Lead end to end due diligence for prospective investments including financial modelling, valuation, commercial analysis, risk assessment and structuring.
* Prepare detailed investment memoranda, presentations and recommendations for investment committee review.
Deal Execution & Negotiation
* Drive transaction execution in collaboration with legal, tax, and external advisors including term sheet negotiation, deal documentation oversight and closing coordination.
* Manage complex transaction dynamics and identify creative solutions to optimize risk-return outcomes.
Portfolio Growth & Value Creation
* Partner with portfolio company leadership teams to support strategic initiatives, performance improvement and execution of growth plans.
* Monitor and report on portfolio performance metrics, financial results and value creation milestones.
Internal Leadership & Mentorship
* Mentor and develop junior investment professionals, fostering a high performance, collaborative culture.
* Partner with senior leadership on strategic planning, process enhancement and firm-wide initiatives.
Candidate Profile
* Minimum of 7 years professional experience in investment banking (M&A / TMT / DCM/ ECM), private equity / growth equity, corporate development, or principal investing.
* Demonstrated track record in sourcing, evaluating and executing complex transactions.
* Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities.
* Commercial instincts with clear strategic thinking and excellent judgment.
* Exceptional communication both written and verbal, with pitch-ready presentation skills
* High ownership mindset, with ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
* Strong relationship network with deal intermediaries, sponsors, operators, and sector experts.
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial team environment.
Education
* Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related discipline
* MBA / CFA or equivalent advanced qualification preferred
