Role Overview:
G3 Systems is seeking a motivated and proactive Buyer to support the delivery of the WTB Programme. The Buyer will be responsible for procuring materials and services essential for programme delivery while ensuring compliance with G3 Systems’ procurement policies and best practices. This role requires close collaboration with the WTB Programme Team and suppliers to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating best prices, quantities, and delivery timescales.
* Research, select, and procure quality products and materials that meet contracted standards.
* Process Purchase Order Requisitions and issue Purchase Orders using Costpoint.
* Expedite orders and monitor the supply chain, reporting supplier issues to management promptly.
* Maintain WTB’s approved vendor list and ensure adherence to G3 Systems’ Vendor Assessment process.
* Track and report Supplier Non-Conformance.
* Ensure compliance with G3 Systems procurement procedures.
* Coordinate delivery of goods by liaising with suppliers and customers.
* Collaborate with the WTB Programme Team to identify purchasing needs.
Qualifications:
* GCSE-level qualification (or equivalent).
* CIPS Level 3 qualification.
Skills & Experience:
* Demonstrable experience in a procurement role.
* Experience managing supplier relationships.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Security cleared, or ability to achieve security clearance.
* IT literate with experience using an ERP system.
* Excellent communication skills.
