Land Quality Consultant/Assistant Consultant

Do you have what it takes to transform society? We are currently looking for a Land Quality Consultant/Assistant Consultant who is ambitious, enthusiastic and determined to join our Land Quality team within our Infrastructure and Environment Division.

With a strong pipeline of work over the next year and beyond, now is an exciting time to join our growing team in the UK!


What does the role involve?

As a Land Quality Consultant/Assistant Consultant, youll undertake site and office based work, supporting delivery of land quality assessment and brownfield regeneration schemes in the UK and abroad for a range of public and private sector clients.


Typical Duties Will Include

* Providing consultancy services in relation to geo-environmental assessments
* Preparing and undertaking factual and interpretative geo-environmental reports
* Site supervision (appropriate to experience) and routine monitoring during site investigations, remediation, demolition and construction programmes, liaising with internal/external clients and subcontractors
* Acting as project manager on small sized projects and progressing towards managing larger projects
* Assisting in the production of proposals/bids
* Assisting in general business development on behalf of the company and developing strong customer relationships
* Preparing drawings and well written, clear, accurate reports


Qualifications and Experience Required

* Qualified to degree level, preferably to MSc level in a relevant technical subject
* Working towards chartership or ready to pursue chartership with an appropriate professional body
* Good understanding of best practice guidance, regulation and legislation in contaminated land
* Applied knowledge and understanding of Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations
* Proven experience in delivering site visits, investigations and/or remediation works in line with the highest health, safety and environmental standards
* Track record in design and supervision of site investigation works, including experience with a variety of techniques, site management, contractor supervision, soil logging, chemical and geotechnical sampling and analysis, gas and groundwater monitoring
* Demonstrated experience in collecting, managing, analysing and interpreting data
* Experience in technical report writing including phase 1 desk studies, factual and interpretative ground investigations, remediation option appraisals and verification reports
* Full driving licence
