About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level System Administrator to join our IT team in Belfast. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of experience in a similar role and possess strong expertise in cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure, as well as Microsoft 365 (M365). The role requires excellent troubleshooting skills, the ability to support our ZenDesk system for helpdesk calls, and experience with laptop and Mac builds. Additionally, the candidate should be proficient in supporting Microsoft Intune and using Windows Autopilot.

The role will also involve assisting with day-to-day security and compliance activities to help maintain our PCI-DSS and ISO27001 certifications. This includes running scheduled security scans, preparing routine compliance reports, and helping provide audit information when needed.

The successful candidate must be a team player but also capable of working independently on assigned projects. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential, along with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and regulated environment.


What You'll Do

* Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
* Administer and support Microsoft 365 (M365) environments.
* Provide excellent troubleshooting support for various IT issues.
* Support and manage our ZenDesk system for helpdesk calls.
* Build and configure laptops and Mac systems for end-users.
* Administer and support Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot for device deployment and management.
* Assist with network configuration and troubleshooting as needed.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless IT operations.
* Document IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
* Work independently on assigned projects while maintaining effective communication with the team.
* Run regular vulnerability and security scans across infrastructure and applications, and track remediation progress.
* Generate and deliver
monthly compliance and security reports
to the Head of Infrastructure & Security and the Head of Compliance.
* Maintain evidence and documentation required for
PCI-DSS
and
ISO27001
certifications.
* Support internal and external audits by preparing required compliance artefacts and addressing auditor queries.
* Monitor security alerts and escalate in line with company processes.


What You'll Bring

* 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
* Strong expertise in cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (M365) administration.
* Excellent troubleshooting skills.
* Experience with ZenDesk or similar helpdesk systems.
* Proficiency in building and configuring laptops and Mac systems.
* Experience with Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
* Network experience is desirable.
* Hands-on experience with compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS and ISO27001.
* Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys) and interpreting results.
* Familiarity with compliance reporting, risk registers, and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
* Understanding of security best practices in Windows administration, cloud environments (AWS preferred), and networking.
* Strong communication and documentation skills.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
