Title: Mathematical Modeller – Data & Probability
Location: Winchester
Company: KOIOS Master Data Limited
About the Role
KOIOS is building the global infrastructure for high-quality, AI-ready industrial data. We are expanding our mathematics and modelling team and are looking for a mathematical modeller to join us.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on applied mathematics and wants to see their work directly influence the design of semantic data frameworks, concept dictionaries, and validation models that will power AI and Industry 4.0.
You won't be working alone — you'll join a growing team of mathematicians and data scientists at KOIOS who are applying probability, combinatorics, and stochastic processes to solve some of the most complex challenges in industrial data.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with KOIOS's mathematical modelling team to design and test probabilistic models for data quality and validation.
* Apply stochastic processes, combinatorics, and optimisation to industrial data structures and metadata frameworks.
* Use Monte Carlo simulations and other techniques to model large-scale data scenarios.
* Contribute to the design of concept dictionaries, exchange protocols, and AI-ready data models.
* Work closely with product, engineering, and industry teams to bring mathematically sound solutions into production.
Ideal Background
* Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or related field.
* Strong foundation in probability, combinatorics, stochastic modelling, or optimisation.
* Programming skills (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB) for applied modelling and simulation.
* Interest in data infrastructure, semantics, and AI/ML foundations.
* A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working as part of a dedicated mathematical team.
* What We Offer
* Join a team of mathematicians and data experts shaping the future of industrial data.
* Work on cutting-edge projects in semantic data, data quality, and Industry 4.0 infrastructure.
* Collaborative, research-led environment where mathematics drives innovation.
* Competitive compensation, performance incentives, and career growth opportunities.
