Selecta is the largest provider of unattended self-serve coffee and convenience food in Europe, leading the way in vending solutions and specialist coffee services. We are hiring a NHS Trolley Engineer or Technical Joy Ambassador to join our Technical department, working on a mobile basis. Candidates with experience of electrical or mechanical repairs from other industries would be considered as we offer a comprehensive industry backed training program to take your career to the next level.
About Selecta
Selecta operates across 16 countries within Europe, serving 12 million people every day. Within the UK we deliver a national service, relied on and trusted by circa 3,500 businesses to serve tasty beverages and snacks at a variety of locations from workplaces to schools, universities and hospitals and everywhere in-between. Our engineers are critical to the operating of our business, ensuring that our machines are well maintained and in working order, so that we can continuously delight our customers.
The Role
As a NHS Trolley Technical Joy Ambassador, you are responsible for ensuring the Service Trolleys provided by Selecta in NHS hospitals are serviced and maintained to a very high standard to enable provision of the on site mobile hot drinks dispensing service.
Your role requires a high degree of autonomy - you will be responsible for several hundred trolleys across a number of NHS estates in a significant geographical area - some of your work will be scheduled for you, but you are expected to prioritise according to client needs. We support some of the world's leading and best known coffee and food brands, so interacting with clients and presenting a positive image of the company and its products is essential. In addition, you will:
* Carry out emergency repairs to any machine, including carrying out 'component level' repairs on an electrical and mechanical basis
* Carry out preventative maintenance on our machines in your own geographical patch and beyond
* Fully install and commission new equipment within our range
* Manage a parts stock effectively to minimise costs
