What You Will Do:
* Lead the design and development of new products from concept through to production, ensuring high:quality solutions.
* Drive rapid prototyping and iterative design cycles to accelerate time:to:market for innovative products.
* Conduct design reviews, DFMEA, and risk assessments to maintain high design standards and compliance.
* Collaborate with cross:functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, to deliver seamless project execution.
* Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and technical expertise to support their development.
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards and directives, including CE/UKCA, ATEX, and DSEAR, while championing continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Will Bring:
* Proven experience in design engineering or new product development roles, with a minimum of five years of relevant expertise.
* Strong proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD, including large assemblies, configurations, and design automation tools.
* Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes such as laser cutting, CNC forming, welding, and assembly.
* A solid understanding of engineering systems compliance standards.
* Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver on time and within budget.
