Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of high‑profile engineering and construction projects across the UK and internationally. The role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships and driving team performance. Location: Sunderland. Working hours: 8am – 4:30pm Monday‑Thursday, Friday 8am‑1pm. Type: Permanent. Compensation: Competitive Salary + Car Allowance.
Responsibilities
* Manage projects from award through to completion, ensuring delivery meets programme, budget, quality, and contractual requirements.
* Coordinate project teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
* Act as the main client contact, managing communication, reporting, risk, and change control.
* Monitor project schedules, costs, and performance, resolving issues proactively.
* Support continuous improvement, team development, and a strong safety culture.
Qualifications
* Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline, with project management qualifications preferred.
* Proven experience delivering engineering, construction, or industrial projects.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Experience with project planning and reporting tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
* Ideally has experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
* Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally as required.
