Position
An experienced Charge Nurse is required to lead the Substance Use Team across three prison healthcare sites – HMP Perth, Bell CCU and Castle Huntly Open Estate. The team specialises in the delivery of support and OST management to patients with a variety of substance‑addiction needs and works closely with the wider multidisciplinary prison healthcare team.
Responsibilities
* Provide leadership, communication and interpersonal support to the team across all three sites.
* Lead service quality improvement initiatives, support change and promote a positive working culture.
* Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care to a complex patient group within a unique prison setting.
* Rotate between sites, travelling to NHS Tayside prison establishments and working traditional nursing shifts over a 7‑day period, with flexibility to meet service needs.
Qualifications
* Registered on Sub‑part 1 (RN1 or RNA) or Sub‑part 2 (RN2) of the UK NMC Register.
* Experience in a charge or senior nursing role with proven leadership and clinical skills.
* Understands substance‑use treatment, mental health and multidisciplinary collaboration.
