An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Fleet Compliance Officer within Fleet Operations.
Role Overview
The successful applicant will play a key role in supporting Fleet Operations across the entire NWAS, focusing on:
* Daily operational workshop compliance
* Statutory Regulations and Codes of Practice aligned with Health and Safety
* Risk assessment and maintaining standards in line with Trust policies
* Accurate reporting during the maintenance of the Trust’s ambulance fleet and workforce wellbeing
* Staff training, workplace reviews, and coaching
* Financial awareness when working with third-party service providers
Challenges and Responsibilities
This role offers varied challenges related to the Trust's requirements and daily fleet operations. It involves supporting regional management and teams across a 7-day shift pattern to ensure workshops operate safely throughout the year.
Reporting and Travel
The Fleet Compliance Officer reports to the Fleet Engineer Operations. The role requires strong communication, business awareness, and report writing skills, with daily interactions involving:
* Fleet Operations
* NWAS Management and staff
* Trade Union leads
* Dealer networks
* Vehicle Manufacturers
* Third-party suppliers
Travel across the Trust to visit workshops and consult with Area Service Managers and teams is also required.
