Position: Production Operator/Packer - Temp to Perm
Location: Kenfig Industrial Estate near Port Talbot
Salary: Starting at £12.56 per hour (£27,499 per annum), with potential for progression and increased remuneration.
Own transport is required as the site is not accessible via major transport links.
Work Schedule: Average 42.1 hours/week, rotational 12-hour day/night shifts (4 days on, 4 days off).
Experience in a manufacturing environment and rotational shifts is advantageous but not essential. Immediate start preferred. Right to work in the UK is required.
Responsibilities
Summary
* Operate machines efficiently to produce quality products on time with minimal waste.
* Support the Production Manager in continuous development and improvement.
Key Points
* Meet customer requirements per the Job Specification sheet.
* Operate machines and ancillary processes continuously during shifts.
* Prepare for ongoing processes such as mixing and granulation.
* Record in-process checks and ensure results meet specifications. Certify finished products for dispatch.
* Ensure packaging and identification meet customer needs.
* Manage despatch and warehousing requirements.
Additional Responsibilities
* Maintain machinery and ensure proper use of resources.
* Conduct annual performance appraisals and identify training needs.
* Ensure in-process inspections, labeling, and packing conform to specifications. Address deviations with quality assurance.
* Support other business areas, including granulation and out-of-hours work.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Promote continuous improvement through team ideas.
Qualifications
* Manufacturing experience is beneficial but not required.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
