The Role – Behaviour Mentor
Seeking a committed Behaviour Mentor to support pupils aged 5–16 in an Alternative Provision setting. In this role, you will work directly with pupils who display challenging behaviour, providing consistent 1:1 and small group mentoring to help them regulate emotions, develop positive behaviour strategies, and re-engage with learning. You will support pupils in and out of the classroom, helping to de-escalate situations, model appropriate behaviour, and reinforce clear routines and boundaries. Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff, you will help implement behaviour support plans, track progress, and build strong, trusting relationships that enable pupils to feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
